Must Have: the boyfriend blazer…how? where? when? why?

The absolute must-have this season – the one and only boyfriend blazer – seen on everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow, The Olsen sisters (who even added a lovely piece to their own Elizabeth & James collection) and the queens of the catwalk. Call it 80’s…call it sloppy…but you can’t deny the nagging feeling that you do really want one yourself though (well I am dying to get myself an Elizabeth & James boyfriend blazer – CHECK IT OUT – CLICK HERE)…

How?
Wear it with majorly skinny jeans, ripped jeans, some seriously distressed jeans (a la the hot J Brand thrashers), leggings, jeggings or treggings (love Joseph treggings right here!)…wear it with t-shirts (or over a lovely limited edition Burfitt t-shirt dress of the stylish Kate Moss as Charlie Chaplie – available at my-wardrobe.com), blouses, formal shirts, simple vests, colourful floral dresses (makes me think Chloe girl style straightaway) or a shift dress…to go with high heels, with riding boots, with ankle boots, with flats or with trainers – I’m personally loving the funky ASH trainers of gorgeous black leather at my-wardrobe.com!!

Where?
Wear it to work, perfect for casual drinks after work – can move on straight without needing a change anywhere – no more schlepping extra wardrobe pieces around! Wear it to the pub or the market on a Sunday – weather being a bitch? Rains in the sunshine – fear not, for with a comfortable boyfriend blazer to throw over everything you can face it all.

During the week, on the weekend, during work, during off-time shopping, during drinkies with the girls on a Friday night…cinema with the boy, whenever you like, anytime really!
Why?
Why not? Its ultimately comfortable…casual…and its dressed…you can throw it over absolutely everything…never overdressed, never underdressed, what more could you possibly want from a blazer?!
